LESSON 11

PERSONAL PROTECTION AND DATA PROTECTION →Hello again!!! in today's class we have learned about personal data protection. Next we will talk about information that we all need to know when using devices. Nowadays we use technologies and devices for everything, that's why we should know that we are exposed to have our accounts hacked. We have to be careful when putting passwords or user numbers on pages that are not very secure.  Installing things like Antivirus or Malware Detection Tool will allow us to stay away from this type of hackers. Since there are malicious programs that seek to obtain personal data and money. It is also advisable to renew passwords from time to time and not to use the same password for all accounts. In addition to this, it is also advisable to use secure passwords, which are those that contain a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, as well as numbers.  Another thing we can do to avoid obtaining our data is to delete cookies, because every time

HOT POTATOES → Hello again! I have decided to put these two classes together because in both we use the same resource: Hot Potatoes.  Hot Potatoes is not one, but six teaching tools that were developed with the aim of facilitating the possibility of developing interactive exercises based on web pages. These six tools or programs, which we can also call "potatoes", allow you to create multimedia exercises thanks to the JavaScript language. To practice, we had to create an exercise with each of the "potatoes". Here are the examples that I have made based on the topic of pet animals, as you already know. JCloze:  This potato allows you to fill in the gaps in the text that you have written yourself. Besides you can also add tracks. And once the exercise is finished, the score appears on the screen: JMatch: This potato allows us to create an exercise with two columns to match. We can put photos or text. JMix: With this potato we can make sentences by joining individu

INNOVATIVE AND CREATIVE USE OF  DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY →Hi everybody!! Today's class has been based on what is multimedia and the creative use it has. We can find types of images like a Bitmap , this is a rectangular grid of pixels, the result obtained will depend on the quality of the resolution. If the resolution is not very good, we will be able to see the pixels clearly. Raster image formats are divided into compressed (PNG, JPEG, ...) and uncompressed (PSD, RAW, ...).  Another type of image are vector images , these are mathematically defined shapes, they are resolution independent. For this type of format we can use PDF, PS,... On the other hand, if what we want is a sound format and with quality, we will use WAV, AIFF, FLAC. When we use MP3 or AAC the quality is lost. For video formats , MPEG, MPEG-4 are normal. For the creation of a Podcast, iVoox is a good example, it allows us to upload various types of format. Finally, in today's practice we have worked with the GIMP

NETIQUETTE →  Good morning! In today's class we have learned about the topic of netiquette. Netiquette is a code of good behavior on the Internet: email, social media, online chats (Instant Messenger Services), forums, website or news sites comments, …  On the other hand, when we write something on the Internet it is important to know when to use correct language. For example, when writing an email it is important to use good Netiquettes. We must include a subject that summarizes the topic of the email and write a greeting. Finally, we should end the email with our name or signature. Other key things that we have learned according to the sections that appear when we write an email: "To": here we must write the email address of the person to whom we are going to send it, if we want more people to receive this same email, we will only have to add their names. "CC": if the email is mainly intended for one person, you must place the additional addresses in this sect

COLLABORATION BY DIGITAL CHANNELS →  Hello again!  In today's class we have learned many concepts that will help us to use technology and tools to work in teams and create collaborative projects. Such as collaborative tools like forums and wikis. These tools usually need internet connection, although some are already based on the software that we install on our computer or laptop. Others are directly a cloud service and we can use them from the web browser. This type of software allows you to create a digital medium for sharing ideas, documents, images, etc. On the other hand, there are also digital collaboration tools that allow us to interact with others through video, videoconferencing or even webinars. In addition, these transmissions can be public or private where anyone can join with the corresponding link.  Some of them are: Skype, Zoom, Twich, ... Another collaborative tool could be through documents, these allow the creation and development of multiple collaborative docu

For this activity we had to do three different exercises.      1. For the first one, we created a Doodle and had to agree on a meeting with the rest of our group. Each of the components had to answer, as you can see in the following image.     2. For the next one, we created a Google form with the objective of creating an authorization to ask for permission to the parents for an outing to the Madrid Zoo with the students. Here is the link for you to have a look at it. https://docs.google.com/forms/d/14eFeZ209x7iMAYT3Xs2muZ9aRAxSfA5mPmSbu1jH4YE/edit?usp=sharing     3. Finally, we created an account on Kahoot and had to ask a question related to our theme, Pet Animals.

CIVIC PARTICIPATION →Hello again! Today we have learned what civic participation is, it seeks to involve citizens actively in decision making, planning and management of public affairs that affect their lives. With the aim of obtaining greater participation, administrations have developed many initiatives in recent years, these allow planning and implementing public policies. Some of them are: Participatory budgeting Referendum Civic queries Children's plenary session There are different types of participation, depending on the involvement of the citizens. We can see it in the following image: On the other hand, there is also online participation thanks to the development of telecommunications and new ICT. This type of participation consists of applying ICT to encourage and facilitate citizen participation in decision-making on public issues that may be of interest to them. Some of the tools that help us to achieve this online participation (questionnaires, debates, votings, meeti

➜ Hello again! as homework we also had to create a presentation with our group using Genially. This site allows us to create presentations but in a more dynamic way, you can interact through it and even redirect to other websites. As you know, our topic is pet animals, so we have included information about dogs, cats, parakeets and horses. We hope you like it!  Here is the link:  https://view.genial.ly/603fa67378b3540d36285d75/presentation-pet-animals-genially Hereinafter  are some images of my slide, based on the dogs. As you can see there are several interactive elements that provide various information about dogs.

➜For this other activity, we were asked to create a mind map on our topic using Mindomo. I created my mind map based on dogs, as part of our "Pet Animals" topic.   https://www.mindomo.com/mindmap/d591d6c9f0224d82bab2d80e6e456b56

➜ For this activity we had to create an infographic in Piktochart. The objective is to be able to explain in a more dynamic way for the children the concept of pet animals, in this case dogs as pets. Through this link, you can access the infographic from the Piktochart page, where you can read the information better. https://create.piktochart.com/output/52957750-dogs <iframe width="0" height="0" frameborder="0"scrolling="no" style="overflow-y:hidden;" src="https://create.piktochart.com/embed/52957750-dogs" ></iframe>

SHARING INFORMATION AND DIGITAL CONTENTS →Hello everyone! In today's class we learned about the different ways to share content. Such as E-mail, Social Networks (through posts or comments) and specific content curation tools.  On the other hand, according to Open Educational Resources (OER) we saw what are the 5 Rs of Open: reuse, revise, remix, redistribute and retain, every user should be able to use them. We learned that these OER have benefits for both students (they offer greater flexibility, a resource can be accessed more easily) and instructors (greater flexibility for course design). If we want to create an OER, the steps are very simple: Create a resource Give an open license Publish or share online Other key elements we learned were what infographics are (graphic visual representations of information, data or knowledge intended to present information quickly and clearly), mind maps (diagrams with a keyword or central idea that has concepts linked around it) and finally,
