NETIQUETTE
→ Good morning! In today's class we have learned about the topic of netiquette. Netiquette is a code of good behavior on the Internet: email, social media, online chats (Instant Messenger Services), forums, website or news sites comments, …
On the other hand, when we write something on the Internet it is important to know when to use correct language. For example, when writing an email it is important to use good Netiquettes. We must include a subject that summarizes the topic of the email and write a greeting. Finally, we should end the email with our name or signature.
Other key things that we have learned according to the sections that appear when we write an email:
"To": here we must write the email address of the person to whom we are going to send it, if we want more people to receive this same email, we will only have to add their names.
"CC": if the email is mainly intended for one person, you must place the additional addresses in this section.
"Bcc": this option will be used when we send an email to several people who do not know each other. This hides the email addresses of each recipient.
There are also sample structures for composing a message in a chat room, forum, social networks,...
Likewise, we have also learned how to create educational comics, normally these are used as a teaching tool. Some tips to create these comics and explain a concept are:
- Focus on a main concept.
- Open with a hook that can grab students' attention.
- Create the timeline of the story by working backwards from the end to the beginning.
- Make your main character likable and relatable to your students, they can feel they are not perfect but have strengths and weaknesses like everyone else.
Pixton is an example for being able to create this type of comic. We had to create a comic to be able to practice in class and internalize the topic of Netiquettes, in this case I used Canva.
