LESSON 11

PERSONAL PROTECTION AND DATA PROTECTION →Hello again!!! in today's class we have learned about personal data protection. Next we will talk about information that we all need to know when using devices. Nowadays we use technologies and devices for everything, that's why we should know that we are exposed to have our accounts hacked. We have to be careful when putting passwords or user numbers on pages that are not very secure.  Installing things like Antivirus or Malware Detection Tool will allow us to stay away from this type of hackers. Since there are malicious programs that seek to obtain personal data and money. It is also advisable to renew passwords from time to time and not to use the same password for all accounts. In addition to this, it is also advisable to use secure passwords, which are those that contain a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters, as well as numbers.  Another thing we can do to avoid obtaining our data is to delete cookies, because every tim...

PROGRAMMING - BASIC CONCEPTS → Good afternoon!! Today's class was all about programming, for which we used the Primary Code program. We can use this program to teach students the basic terms of programming, the information they need to be able to start programming. With this program you will learn how to use input and output codes, conditionals, loops and arrays; however, the last one is not necessary. In each exercise we can see the Java code used to execute that action. Another program we have used is Scratch, which is much easier and more dynamic for the students, since it consists of dragging the codes.  It also allows you to change the characters, the background and change their colors and clothes. In this way the students are entertained and the class is more enjoyable. To practice and get to know the different functions, we have done a simple exercise related to our theme (as you know, pet animals) which you can see below: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/520360694/

INNOVATIVE AND CREATIVE USE OF  DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY: RESEARCHING IN EDUCATION → Hi everyone!! today's class dealt with the use of digital technology to achieve research in education. If we want to do research, an example of steps to follow would be: detect a need. For example, let's imagine that students find a topic that has been seen in class very boring and it does not motivate them. we will have to think about whether it can be solved without technology.  if we see that the technology is beneficial, we will use it. we will search the internet for any resource whether it is an application or a platform that helps us explain better. Following these steps, today's exercises consist of creating two activities related to our group theme, as you know, ours is pet animals. For the fist activity we have to create a live worksheet on    https://es.liveworksheets.com/ . First of all we had to make a PowerPoint slide so that the application would let us do an exercise of joi...

JClic  → Good afternoon! I have merged the two classes since we have used the same platform on both, JClic application. It is similar to the one on HotPotatoes, which we saw in previous classes, it also allows us to create different exercises for our students. Here are some images of the exercises we have done. The first exercise we have had to do is an information screen, like a cover page where the series of exercises will begin. Also in the arrows below we can navigate through the different exercises going back and forth. The next exercise is called double puzzle, it allows us to create a puzzle through a photo. We can also add phrases to appear at the beginning and end of the activity and even when we fail to place a piece, another phrase such as "try again!" can appear. The following two exercises are called memory games. In the first one the students will have to make pairs of six different pictures.  In the lower right corner of the screen the attempts and success...

HOT POTATOES → Hello again! I have decided to put these two classes together because in both we use the same resource: Hot Potatoes.  Hot Potatoes is not one, but six teaching tools that were developed with the aim of facilitating the possibility of developing interactive exercises based on web pages. These six tools or programs, which we can also call "potatoes", allow you to create multimedia exercises thanks to the JavaScript language. To practice, we had to create an exercise with each of the "potatoes". Here are the examples that I have made based on the topic of pet animals, as you already know. JCloze:  This potato allows you to fill in the gaps in the text that you have written yourself. Besides you can also add tracks. And once the exercise is finished, the score appears on the screen: JMatch: This potato allows us to create an exercise with two columns to match. We can put photos or text. JMix: With this potato we can make sentences by joining individu...

INNOVATIVE AND CREATIVE USE OF  DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY →Hi everybody!! Today's class has been based on what is multimedia and the creative use it has. We can find types of images like a Bitmap , this is a rectangular grid of pixels, the result obtained will depend on the quality of the resolution. If the resolution is not very good, we will be able to see the pixels clearly. Raster image formats are divided into compressed (PNG, JPEG, ...) and uncompressed (PSD, RAW, ...).  Another type of image are vector images , these are mathematically defined shapes, they are resolution independent. For this type of format we can use PDF, PS,... On the other hand, if what we want is a sound format and with quality, we will use WAV, AIFF, FLAC. When we use MP3 or AAC the quality is lost. For video formats , MPEG, MPEG-4 are normal. For the creation of a Podcast, iVoox is a good example, it allows us to upload various types of format. Finally, in today's practice we have worked with the...
